Easy DIY Valentine’s Day Craft for Kids
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and it is Melody’s first year in school so I wanted to make sure I was on top of it this year. Today we created this adorable little Valentine’s Day craft! This DIY candy dish (though doesn’t have to be candy), was too cute to create. Melody was so very proud. She later decided to put a bow on it! With just a few simple supplies and directions you can create yours today! Happy Crafting!
Cleaned out can
Construction Paper (Red, 2 Purples, Pink)
Hot Glue Gun/ Glue
With the pink paper, roll it just a bit on the can so that you know where to cut the paper. After cutting, color it with fun designs.
With the other side of the paper cut into 4 strips and accordion fold them.
Trace your hands and feet and then cut them out. 🙂
Hot glue the piece of paper onto the can.
Fold over the top and hot glue down.
Hot glue two accordion papers onto the bottom of the can.
Glue the other two strips onto the middle of the can.
With the red paper cut out a large heart. Glue on the googly eyes, and draw a smile and nose.
Glue on the feet and hands onto the pink strips. (This is a fun little personalized touch for Valentine’s Day)
Fill up your can with some goodies for your Valentine to enjoy 🙂
There you have it. The fun little Valentine that is also handy! These make great gifts for grandparents and parents! Plus, children love to make something to give to those they love!
